Lately, I've been thinking about relationships built over decades. Whether it's a friendship, a partnership, or family, there comes a point where your lives become so intertwined that it's difficult to separate one story from the other. You influence each other in quiet ways, growing alongside one another until parts of who you are have been shaped by each other.
These lilies are no longer at the beginning of their lives. The purple beginning to spread through their petals hints at the passage of time, but they are still full of movement, color, and life. I was interested in that stage where change has become visible but doesn't diminish what is there. If anything, the years make the relationship richer. Like the flowers, we continue to grow together, carrying pieces of one another as we move through life.
